We thank our devoted camp alumni and friends for giving generously to support Camp Ramah in Wisconsin's new facility construction, renovation and upgrades. Since the Milestone Campaign launch in 2007 we expanded staff housing, built a Tikvah Vocational Center and constructed the wonderful new Chadar Ochel kitchen and dining complex. The scope of the Milestone Campaign expanded as we became eligible for challenge grants provided by the Foundation for Jewish Camp and the Grinspoon Institute for Jewish Philanthropy. With this support we were able to build a high ropes challenge course, an indoor sports court in the Bet Am and upgraded sports fields with night lighting. The original campaign goal of $7.5 million grew to $8.25 million. With these accomplishments, we have successfuly redeveloped our facilities as specified in the 2000 Strategic Plan. These excellent facilities enhance our mission and provide a wonderful platform for the magical camp experience happening each and every summer.
Plans are underway for the 2011 Mezuzah Project, the capstone to our Milestone Campaign. This project will help raise the $750,000 needed to maximize the challenge grants described above.
