PhoneathonRamah Wisconsin Young Alumni Phone-a-thon
Phone-a-thon

On November 18, 2010, 20 representatives of Nivonim 1994-2003 gathered in Chicago, called their friends and other Ramahniks, and raised over $20,000 for the Ramah Wisconsin Scholarship fund. The phone-a-thon, organized by Sam Caplan and Jonathan Ross (a.k.a. JAR), triggered a $20,000 match - resulting in $40,000 for camper scholarships!  This is huge progress towards the goal of raising $200,000 for scholarships from alumni and friends for the 2011 season.  It's not too late to support the Scholarship Fund - you can donate online at http://tinyurl.com/3a49loe.  A spring phone-a-thon is planned for May.  For more information contact Linda Hoffenberg, Director of Institutional Advancement, at LHoffenberg@ramahwisconsin.com.

Danny Alpert (Nivo 1980) and aired on PBS on December 20 and 21, nationwide.

The companion web campaign, What's Your Calling? is online at

www.whatsyourcalling.org.  The campaign pushes the notion of "calling" to explore all of the stuff that makes us human: our values, our passions, our doubts and hopes- from both religious and secular perspectives. Profiling individuals from diverse backgrounds - jazz musicians, tug boat captains, academics, Muay Thai fighters, religious leaders, social workers, environmental activists, toy inventors and many, many more - What's Your Calling? shares what people have been called to do with their lives and how they hope to change the world.
