"We love Ramah because it offers so much for our kids. The campers are getting so much from the beautiful setting. They love the lake, the sports, the art, the drama. I think it's a really well balanced camp. On top of that, the kids get to express themselves Jewishly, learn Hebrew, be with Israeli counselors and live in an incredible Jewish community."

"This was my first year at Camp Ramah and I made so many new friends from all over. Everyone is really welcoming. There are so many activities to choose from - there's always something that's right for you."

In an independent survey, Ramah parents were asked:

What was your most important reason for choosing Camp Ramah in Wisconsin for your child?

"My daughter loved her previous experiences at Ramah and wouldn't consider going anywhere else. We are committed to sending her to a Jewish camp and Ramah meets all our needs."

"It's what she wanted. Programming. Overall feeling of community. Staff excellence. Feeling of an overall purpose at Ramah beyond just having fun."

"Ramah has become a summer home for my son for the past three years. It gives him an opportunity to experience life in a very rich Jewish environment, and besides making very special friends, it helps him become a more independent person, identifying with his Jewish background and giving him self confidence."

"Our daughter counts down the days before camp. Ramah is her second home and we wanted our son to have the same great experience at camp. Also, [she] has increased her Jewish knowledge and identity and it's enriched her life."

"The most important reason has always been the community of like-minded Jewish kids, coming together for a summer's worth of un-compared Jewish learning and comradery. Experiences that will last them for the rest of their lives!"

"After nine years of attending Jewish Day School, she will be attending Public High School. She wanted and needs a Jewish Community in the summer."

Regarding the Tikvah Program (for campers with special needs) parents said:
"The Atzmayim program (and the Tikvah program) is the best program for Jewish high functioning kids/young adults with learning/development challenges that exists anywhere."

"The Tikvah program met our needs exactly"

Parents were also asked:  What is Camp Ramah in Wisconsin's major strength?

"It's more holistic than one particular strength. It takes an overall good experience and environment: Jewish curriculum and programming; good solid leadership that promotes inclusivity and makes kids feel good and safe; community-building; diverse choice of activities that give the kids what they want and encourages them to explore possible areas of interest they may not be open to in other environments and so much more! Ramah brought all of that to the table!"

"Grounding the kids and giving them confidence in who they are - our kids are proud to be Jewish!"

"Having a strong foundation with values that emphasize being an honest and open individual. Helping children get in touch with being Jewish and to be proud of being Jewish."

"A great setting for fun experiences while maintaining a traditional Jewish community"

"It's a wonderful all-around camp with the added bonus of the Jewish experience."

"Jewish values, education and combining them with an excellent summer camp experience."

"Ramah manages to create a special atmosphere that my child loves to be a part of."

"Incorporating Jewish learning in an enjoyable and natural way."

"Observant Jewish life in a tight community with fun, close connections, and opportunities to have a great time."

"Ramah teaches our children that it is fun to be Jewish throughout their everyday lives."
