Sollelim Presents: Annie!

Posted: 7/20/2007

Last night the entire camp gathered in the Beit Am to watch Sollelim's production of "Annie."  Each summer, every aidah performs a play - entirely in Hebrew - for the camp.  With lots of ruach and excitement, Sollelim gave a great performance directed by Rosh Drama Jonathan Bubis!  Be sure to check out the Annie plaque on the Beit Am wall next time you visit!

Danielle M. (Sollelim camper): My favorite part of the play was the singing and dancing.  We had so much energy.  It was so much fun!

Ari V. (Sollelim camper): Our entire aidah learned the chorus songs and the dances by heart. We even practiced them in our cabin!  Having everyone dance in unison is not something that we usually get to see.

Rebecca C. (Sollelim camper):
I really liked watching people who had solos rehearse and get better each time.  It proves that working hard and practicing gives good results in the end.  I was Molly in the play, and it was a lot of fun getting into character!

Abby D. (Sollelim counselor): I was so proud of my girls and of the whole aidah for the performance they put on!  They were adorable and got so into the play.  They sounded fantastic - I'm sure all of them were excited for the ice cream party afterwards!

Paul S. (Sollelim camper): The end of the play, when I performed my remix about the play to beebop, was my favorite part because it was a lot of fun being in front of the entire camp rapping.  The "thank you"'s after the play were probably the most important part of the production, because there were many people who gave a lot of their time and creativity.

Rachel O. (Sollelim camper): Our chorus numbers show that we have a really strong aidah.  We danced in the middle of the audience, bringing the show close to home.  The entire camp was clapping after each song!
