Yom Harry Potter
Well, folks, here it is: the final - and seventh - installment in the popular Harry Potter series. Undeterred by the fact that no mail is delivered on Shabbat, more than seventy campers and staff gathered outside the office today to receive their copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. What
happens at the end of the book? That remains to be seen, but for now, we expect to see many copies of the novel floating around.
Kirsten R. (Bogrim Camper): I am so excited! I'm going to have to read the book when I have free time, but I've waited two years for the book!
David F. (Halutzim Counselor): I love Harry Potter like little kids love cupcakes. You will see me reading it all day!
Dahlia S. (Shoafim Camper): Everyone is running off to read the book! I'm anxious for the ending - and I don't want anyone to spoil it for me.
Kenny (Tikvah Camper): I really want to find out how it all ends. After a series of more than three thousand pages, it's kind of surprising that it's going to end now.
Sharon S. (Halutzim Camper): I'm excited for the book!!!! I can't even being to tell you how long I've been waiting for it.
Jono S. (Nivo Camper): Harry Potter has grown up with me. I started reading the books in fourth grade, so it's sad that they're ending. You'll see me reading the book all around camp!
Leehe M. (Rosh Visual Arts): Harry Potter makes Camp Ramah into pure insanity.
Paul S. (Sollelim Camper): The books are not my favorite - I prefer the movies. Who know, though, I may just read the book because everyone else is.
Ilana K. (Machon Camper): If anyone ruins it for me, I'm going to Imperius Curse them! No "Yesh Shekets" [public messages from bunks] in the Chadar Ochel [cafeteria]!
