Tikvah

TikvahCamper Sessions
Tikvah offers a full 8-week session for teenage campers, and a 4-week "Taste of Tikvah" option for first-time younger campers.

Daily Schedule
Campers in the Tikvah program blend seamlessly into the daily schedule of Camp Ramah. They swim five days a week and participate in both swimming lessons and aquatic games. Campers enjoy a range of special activities including art, radio, woodworking, dance and music. They also learn basic skills in sports, including volleyball, basketball, softball and soccer.

Machon-Tikvah Partnership
Machon (general campers entering 10th grade) and Tikvah enjoy a very special partnership. They perform together in camp-wide programs including the Zimriyah Song Festival and the Rikudiah Dance Festival, and they sing and dance together in Ramah's very own production of a Broadway musical. The campers share arts programming, swimming and sport activities. They also join together for evening activities and Shabbat programs.

Judaic Studies
Camp Ramah provides a vibrant Jewish environment for all campers and staff members, including those in the Tikvah program. Campers participate in a daily Judaic studies class taught by a Tikvah teacher. They learn about Jewish life cycle events, Jewish holidays, Israeli life and culture. They learn Hebrew vocabulary words for use in and out of the camp community. Some have an opportunity to participate in more intensive text classes within the general camp.
