After three summers as Assistant Director of Camp Ramah in Wisconsin, Yael Bendat-Appell has announced that she will step back from the position as of August 15, 2015, to spend more time with her growing family. We thank Yael for her partnership with Jacob Cytryn during the first years of his directorate and for her dedication, leadership and efforts to take Camp Ramah in Wisconsin from strength to strength. We look forward to Yael and her family’s continued involvement with Ramah Wisconsin and its programs.
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Adina Allen as the new Assistant Director of Camp Ramah in Wisconsin. Adina will join us at camp in July as our Ruach Ramah Coordinator; will be a part of our senior staff through Family Camp in August, and will assume the responsibilities of year-round Assistant Director in mid-August. Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, Adina has been a part of the Camp Ramah in Wisconsin community since 2001, including numerous summers as a camper and counselor as well as two summers as a Rosh Aidah. Most recently, Adina worked in the Sales/Marketing department at The Advisory Board Company in Washington DC, in the health care research division. Adina has spent time working as a Blueprint Teaching Fellow in St. Louis, and as a volunteer mentor with the Higher Achievement Program in Washington, DC. She holds a BA from Washington University in St. Louis, where she studied Political Science and Jewish/Near Eastern Studies and is an alumna of the Nativ College Leadership Program.
The Camp Ramah in Wisconsin professional leadership team of Director Jacob Cytryn and Chief Operating Officer Benji Bearman look forward to the wonderful opportunity to partner with Adina as we position ourselves for our next period of growth and service to the community. We look forward to an outstanding 2015 season and are excited about what lies ahead for Camp Ramah in Wisconsin.
